JOSEPH TORRA (http://joetorra.com/mygroundtrilogy.html), born in Boston in 1955, was raised in Medford, Mass. He attended the University of Massachusetts at Boston where he earned a B.A. and an M.A. in English. He is a poet, novelist, and editor. His books have been favorably reviewed in The New York Times Book Review, L.A. Times Book Review, Kirkus Reviews, The London Review of Books, Guardian, Boston Magazine, The Harvard Review, and others. His novel Gas Station was named to Publishers Weekly Books of the Year list in 1996. He lives in Somerville, Mass. with his wife and two daughters.
