12:45 p.m. Gillian McCain (poet)
Gillian McCain is a former program coordinator of The Poetry Project and originator of its Friday Night Series. She is the author of, both with Legs McNeil, Please Kill Me: The Uncensored Oral History of Punk and Dear Nobody: The True Diary of Mary Rose. She is also the author of three books of poetry—Tilt, Religion, and, with Jeffrey Conway and David Trinidad, Descent of the Dolls.

1:15 p.m. Eileen Myles (poet)
Eileen Myles (they/them) moved to New York from Boston in 1974 to be a poet. Since then, they’ve published twenty-five books across genres (though mostly poetry) in the first-person vernacular they’ve become known for. Birdwatching (Fonograf ), edition that features an unpublished long poem from 1978 and three early books, was just released in April. They live in New York City and Marfa, Texas.

Acclaimed comedian Tig Notaro said of Magus Magnus’ recently released The Killing Joke (BlazeVOX [books]): “This book is just more proof comedy can kill. And has.” Case in point: Situationist Raoul Vaneigem freed his spirit on July 28th of this year; The Killing Joke was discovered on Vaneigem’s bed stand at time of death, face down and open to pages 102-103.
